Studio Process

Layered depth and light

Every painting begins with raw unprimed linen and custom organic pigment blends. Through weeks of spontaneous mark-making, scraping, and deliberate glazing, each piece gradually develops a rich, tactile surface that transforms under changing light.

Austin uses exclusively archival-grade materials and museum-quality stretchers to ensure these original works retain their structural integrity and vibrant palette for decades to come. Custom hardwood framing is available upon request.
